If you are coming down to the Act-Belong-Commit Dwellingup 100, check out the below information so you can get as close to the action as possible!
There is plenty to do in Dwellingup if you’re not participating in the event. Besides the already established activities/attractions of the town, some extras that the community will be including are:
o Dwellingup Primary P & C Sausage Sizzle (including Bacon and Egg Rolls for Brekkie)
o Fresh Morning Tea by the RSL
o Bouncy Obstacle Course
o Rock ‘n’ Roll Mountain Bike Kids Bike Obstacle Course
o Kids games on the oval
Maps will be available from Registration at the canteen area at Dwellingup Oval.
Oakley Dam: This is a spectacular spot to see the riders bombing down the hill, but you would have to be there early as it is only 13kms into the race. It also has great views from the top of the hill all the way across the coast. This is certainly a great family spot. The best way to access Oakley Dam is via North Spur Rd, left onto Scarp Rd and right into Oakley Dam. Please remember, if you are not early, riders will be all over the road between Oakley Dam and the conveyor belt on Scarp Rd.
Hatch Road Aid Station: This is easy to get to and there is some good viewing within a short walk too.
Turner Hill: Only the 100km riders get to ride Turner Hill. This is only 20kms into the event this year and riders will be setting blisteringly fast lap times in comparison to going into this single track loop with 60kms in their legs as they have done in the past. They exit Turner Hill at 31kms. Spectators will see riders twice here as well.
NOTE – if you are driving out to these locations, please make sure you do not park a) on the course and b) where you do park, leave enough room for emergency and event vehicles to get through.
